Paid Internships for College Students

Find pathways whose official sources establish pay or a stipend, then check the selected placement's actual package. This is a curated program shortlist—not a live list of open, guaranteed-paid job offers.

Editorial review: How we verify

What ‘confirmed paid’ means here

We include programs whose publisher describes paid participation or stipends. We do not estimate a salary when the role-specific figure is missing. A research stipend and an hourly wage can be different arrangements, and a past cohort's published award is not a promise about a future cycle. Read the timing and sources on each guide before treating a program as available.

Compare the full participation cost

Write down rent, deposits, transport, meals, and any move. Then list exactly what the selected placement covers, whether support is conditional, and when money arrives. Housing assistance is not the same as a free room, and a reimbursement may not help with an upfront deposit. Ask the official program contact about unclear terms before making a commitment.

Match your year and the actual schedule

Start with the college-year label but verify completed credits, enrollment, citizenship or authorization, and graduation timing. Some broad undergraduate programs have site-specific rules. A paid placement you cannot attend for its full term is not a workable option. Community-college students should check the accepted institution type instead of assuming every undergraduate route includes it.

Build a manageable paid shortlist

Pick a few relevant programs, read their application guides, and compare the requirements side by side. Save realistic choices and set a next action for each. Separate currently verified cutoffs from undated future prospects. Continue using your campus career center and official employer searches; this directory does not claim to cover the entire paid internship market.

Paid opportunities: programs to investigate

A match here is a starting point. Read the college-year conditions, source status, and current official opening. Closed cohorts remain clearly labeled for future preparation.

Common questions

Does appearing here mean applications are open?

No. Pay and availability are separate checks. Cards describe the source status at review, and each guide explains whether dates are published, role-specific, or from a past cycle.

Are all living costs covered by a stipend?

Do not assume so. Read the selected offer's housing, travel, payment, and eligibility terms, then compare them with your own participation budget.
