Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

The Dallas Fed asks candidates to apply early, so have your resume finished before the fall semester starts rather than writing it once postings appear. This is our suggestion, not a Dallas Fed rule.

For the phone screen, prepare a two-minute explanation of one project or class assignment where you analyzed data or explained an economic idea, and connect it to the department you applied to.
