Who can apply?
- Vanguard's program page accepts college sophomores and juniors who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a relevant field.
- Assignments depend on experience and interests and may include finance, sales, marketing, project administration, client relationship management, investment management, information technology, or data and analytics.
- The evergreen page also says some graduate students may be considered based on field of study and relevant experience, but each live opening controls its exact degree, GPA and work-authorization requirements.
The program page names current sophomores and juniors. Do not place the C2C internship in first-year or senior eligibility buckets merely because Vanguard lists separate opportunities for those stages.
Dates, pay & program timing
Vanguard describes C2C as a full-time, paid 10-week internship and says applications typically open in August for the following year's program. It publishes no universal deadline or current-cycle status on the overview, so check the linked openings. Program locations are Malvern, Pennsylvania; Charlotte, North Carolina; Dallas, Texas; and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
C2C covers functions ranging from investment management and finance to technology, data, marketing and client relationships. Choose one lane before writing your application, then connect a class, campus role or job to a real decision in that function instead of presenting one generic resume to every opening.
Vanguard frames the program around real-world challenges, mentorship and understanding its investor-focused business. Prepare a short example of improving an outcome for someone else—such as a student organization, customer or project user—and explain the evidence you used, the trade-off you made and how you worked with others.
For the interview itself, practice with Prepalyst's free Vanguard interview questions with worked answers. Prepalyst is a sister site from FirstInternships' founder.
