Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students, or qualifying recent graduates, and undergraduates must be at least in their sophomore year.
  • Applicants must be US citizens or otherwise eligible to work in the United States. NASCAR says temporary visas will not be issued and that it does not currently offer sponsorship.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Florida, North Carolina or another US placement. The assigned location depends on the resume, experience, interests and department need.
Easy to miss

The program assigns placements from candidate fit and department need. Interest in one team or track does not guarantee that location, and NASCAR does not offer temporary visas or current sponsorship.

Dates, pay & program timing

No universal cutoff confirmed

NASCAR expects Summer 2027 applications to open in early December 2026 and offers an official alert form in the meantime. The paid program lasts ten weeks from mid-May into late July. Interns who must relocate more than 50 miles receive a relocation stipend; the page publishes neither the hourly rate nor a 2027 deadline.

How to apply to NASCAR

  1. Use NASCAR's official alert form now, then return to the careers page in early December for the Summer 2027 application rather than treating the alert as an application.
  2. Build a resume that makes the placement logic visible: identify the sports-business functions you can support and the projects, jobs or campus work that demonstrate them.
  3. Apply when the official opening appears and confirm every posting-level requirement. List only locations you can genuinely accept and budget around the published relocation-stipend threshold.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Show how your interest in racing connects to a business need. A digital-content calendar, event operation, sponsor activation, engineering project, customer analysis or student-ticketing role is stronger when you explain the audience, constraint and measurable outcome.

Prepare for placement rather than one promised department. Write down your first and second functional choices and one evidence-backed example for each, then decide in advance which states or track locations you could actually relocate to for ten weeks.
