Dates, pay & program timing

No universal cutoff confirmed

Internship openings are posted between September and November for positions starting the following summer, and the Cleveland Fed hires candidates from across the country, not only from the Cleveland area. The selection process may include one or more interviews with human resources and the department hiring team. The internships are paid; the bank describes its salaries as competitive without publishing a figure. The Cleveland Fed has offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

The posting window closes in November, before many students start a summer search. Put a reminder in early September to check the openings, and keep a transcript download ready for roles that ask for one. This is our suggestion, not a Cleveland Fed rule.

The internship can run from May into September. Compare your college's fall start date with the role's 10- to 12-week schedule before you apply, and mention any constraint early.
