Who can apply?
- The central 2027 page requires enrollment at a college or university during the internship. It does not publish a minimum undergraduate class year, major, GPA or universal work-authorization rule.
- Each eventual opening can set its own discipline, coursework, year and location requirements. The broad department list is an overview, not evidence that every student qualifies for every assignment.
- The current page is an interest form that collects a resume so candidates can be notified. The Port Authority explicitly says it is not an application to the Summer 2027 internship program.

Dates, pay & program timing
The paid Summer 2027 program is expected to start in late May or early June and last approximately 12 weeks. The interest page says actual applications are expected to begin opening in November or December 2026. It publishes no universal deadline, hourly rate or work arrangement.

How to apply to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
- Use the official interest form if you want a notification, understanding that submitting it does not apply you to an internship.
- Beginning in November, check the Port Authority's current internships and shortlist real openings by department, degree fit, assignment and location.
- Submit a separate application to each selected opening under its own deadline and requirements. Save the job ID and confirmation; do not rely on the interest-form receipt as proof of application.
