Who can apply?
- Blue Origin's internship overview welcomes students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program who will have at least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- The program requires applicants to be US citizens or nationals, current US permanent residents, refugees lawfully admitted to the United States or people granted asylum.
- The live Summer 2027 search contains separate undergraduate and graduate openings. Degree, discipline, location and technical requirements are role-specific; the central page does not establish one accepted undergraduate year.
Having one term of school remaining is mandatory at the program level. A graduating student with no planned enrolled term after summer should not assume an undergraduate opening will waive it.
Dates, pay & program timing
Blue Origin says summer internships run about twelve weeks from May through August, with applications opening September 1 and interviews occurring during fall. Its official search listed multiple Summer 2027 undergraduate and graduate roles at review. Openings are filled individually and no universal Summer 2027 deadline is published.

How to apply to Blue Origin
- Confirm enrollment, one remaining semester and a qualifying US status, then filter Blue Origin's official search to internships and choose an undergraduate or graduate opening that matches your degree.
- Tailor technical evidence to the posting: design and test work for engineering, a reliable system for software, a documented process for manufacturing or an analysis with assumptions for finance.
- Apply through the selected Workday opening and save its requisition number. Because Blue Origin publishes no universal closing date, treat a currently live role as time-sensitive.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
Space systems reward careful engineering more than vague enthusiasm. Explain requirements, constraints, safety or reliability checks and the evidence that your design or analysis worked. State whether the work was individual or part of a team.
Compare locations before applying. Housing and relocation options are available at the program level, but the selected role and eventual written offer control eligibility, amount and logistics.
