Who can apply?
- Current undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors. This guide excludes the publisher's graduate and recent-graduate routes.
- International applicants must secure valid US work authorization; The Met does not sponsor intern visas.
- All interns must start June 4, 2027. Quarter-system conflicts do not receive an exception.
Recommendation letters share the application deadline, and a quarter-system class conflict does not move the mandatory start date.
Dates, pay & program timing
The 2027 program runs June 4–August 13 and pays $26 per hour. Full-time interns receive $1,500 toward housing or travel. Applications open in mid-November 2026 and close January 13, 2027 at 5 p.m. Eastern.
