Who can apply?

  • Stryker's students and graduates page says it offers current students paid summer internships in the United States and describes the summer internship as twelve weeks long.
  • The 2027 R&D Process & Technology Development intern posting reviewed requires a bachelor's or master's program in a related field with continued enrollment after the internship, a 3.0 cumulative GPA verified at the time of hire, and US work authorization without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
  • That posting lists an hourly range of $20 to $35, a sign-on bonus, paid holidays, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend depending on the hiring location. Other postings set their own terms.

Dates, pay & program timing

No universal cutoff confirmed

The students page publishes no application window or deadline. 2027 summer intern postings were live on the review date, including the Salt Lake City R&D posting, which is listed as on site. Stryker says its recruiters communicate through the applicant tracking system and that messages can end up in junk mail.

How to apply to Stryker

  1. Filter Stryker's students and graduates listings to US internships and pick postings that name your major — the R&D posting reviewed targets mechanical, biomedical, materials, chemical and mechatronics engineering, among others.
  2. Check your record against the posting: the one reviewed asks for a 3.0 cumulative GPA, verified at hire, and enrollment in a degree program after the internship.
  3. Apply through the posting and watch both your inbox and junk folder, since Stryker says recruiters contact candidates through its applicant tracking system.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

The R&D posting reviewed describes new product development, product engineering and test teams, with interns using CAD, FEA and test labs. Bring one design or test project where you can explain the requirement, what you built, how you tested it and what failed.

The posting lists relationship building and networking with stakeholders alongside technical ability among the traits it looks for. Have a short example of working well with someone outside your immediate team — a lab manager, a supplier, a client.
