Who can apply?

  • ASML's US internship overview requires applicants to be enrolled in a degree program related to its work, such as engineering, science, business or a similar field, and to be authorized to work in the United States.
  • The employer highlights mechanical development, electrical engineering, computer science and industrial engineering among relevant backgrounds. A particular opening can narrow the degree, skills, location and education level, so the program page does not establish one eligible undergraduate year for every role.
  • Co-ops are for current students working during an academic semester or quarter. Students seeking school credit should coordinate with their institution's co-op adviser; an internship and a co-op are not interchangeable application routes.
Easy to miss

The US program overview does not make every student eligible for every ASML role. The selected posting controls its degree level, skills, site, schedule and authorization requirements.

Dates, pay & program timing

No universal cutoff confirmed

ASML says its US summer internships run for approximately three months. Co-ops run during an academic semester or quarter and can sometimes follow a summer internship or precede one. The program page publishes no universal application opening or deadline, and ASML says it cannot accept open applications, so candidates must use a listed position.

How to apply to ASML

  1. Open ASML's US internship page and follow its current-opportunities link. Choose a posted internship or co-op whose degree, education level, location, schedule and work-authorization terms you can meet.
  2. Tailor your resume to the subsystem or function in that opening. For a technical role, foreground a design, experiment, codebase or manufacturing project and name your own contribution, test method and result.
  3. Apply through the official ASML careers listing rather than emailing an open application. Save the job identifier and a copy of the requirements because roles can close independently and the central program page has no shared cutoff.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

ASML builds systems in which optics, mechanics, electronics, software and precision manufacturing interact. Prepare one project explanation that follows an interface between two of those areas: the requirement, your design choice, what could fail, how you measured it and what changed after testing. This is preparation advice, not a claim about a particular interview question.

For a software or data opening, be ready to distinguish a working prototype from a reliable engineering tool. Explain input quality, error handling, test coverage and the user who relied on the result. For a hardware or process opening, use tolerances, controls, experimental variables and observed evidence rather than broad claims that a design was optimized.

ASML: questions before applying

Are ASML US internships paid?

Yes. ASML says US interns are paid hourly according to education level; a role and offer control the exact rate. Some interns may also qualify for relocation support.

How long is an ASML summer internship?

The US program page describes an approximately three-month summer program. Co-op schedules instead follow an academic semester or quarter.

Which college years can apply?

ASML requires current enrollment in a related degree but does not publish one class-year rule for every US opening. Check the specific job rather than converting enrollment into an all-years guarantee.
