Who can apply?
- At least 18 and a full-time student at a US school, with sophomore year completed before the program begins.
- Minimum 3.4 GPA in science and mathematics and 3.4 overall.
- US citizen, national, or permanent resident, with prior relevant research outside the classroom already completed when applying.
The prior research must exist when you apply and must be outside classroom coursework; interest alone does not replace it.
Dates, pay & program timing
The 2027 application opens November 1, 2026 and all materials are due February 1, 2027. Start dates are May 10, 17, 24, or June 1. Support is $600 per week plus group housing; travel to Memphis is not covered.
