Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be active students in an associate's, bachelor's, master's or doctoral program. This guide focuses on the undergraduate route.
  • Students finishing an associate degree who will immediately enter a bachelor's program may apply; students one term from finishing a bachelor's and immediately entering graduate school qualify only for graduate-level positions.
  • WWF evaluates attention to detail, initiative, organization, adaptability, teamwork, core values, Microsoft Office and video-conferencing proficiency, and interest in conservation or environmental careers.
  • Individual BRIDGE positions still control the function, work arrangement and any additional qualifications.
Easy to miss

BRIDGE accepts several education levels, but the undergraduate and graduate roles and pay rates are distinct. Apply to the level supported by your current degree status.

How to apply to World Wildlife Fund

  1. Before early March, identify two WWF functions that fit your evidence and prepare a resume and cover letter; the official BRIDGE page says both are required.
  2. When the 2027 roles appear on WWF Careers, choose a specific undergraduate opening and connect your coursework, job or project to its actual deliverables.
  3. Submit through the official careers route and, if named a finalist, arrange the requested recommendation letter. Confirm the virtual or hybrid arrangement for that role.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Conservation interest can support many functions. A grant review, communications plan, procurement analysis, public-data brief or campus sustainability project can be stronger evidence than a broad statement about caring for wildlife.

Prepare examples of managing several priorities and changing course when information changes. Use specific actions and outcomes rather than trying to guess WWF's interview questions.
