Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Because the bank invites applications to every qualifying opening, tailor a short version of your resume to each discipline — a marketing role and a finance role should lead with different examples. This is our suggestion, not a Chicago Fed rule.

Communication skills are a stated qualification. Have a writing sample or presentation ready to mention, and list the Microsoft Office tools you actually use, such as Excel formulas or PowerPoint decks.
