Who can apply?
- Earthjustice offers undergraduate, graduate and law-student opportunities, but each posting states the qualifying education level. This guide covers positions labeled as undergraduate internships.
- The posting identifies the hiring office or program, expected hours, remote status and application instructions; there is no universal undergraduate class-year rule on the overview.
- Earthjustice only reviews applications submitted to a current opening through Jobvite and does not retain unsolicited resumes.
- Law clerkships, externships and graduate fellowships are separate routes and should not be treated as undergraduate internships.
Earthjustice groups several student routes on one page. Internship pay and duration do not convert a law clerkship, externship or fellowship into an undergraduate opportunity.
Dates, pay & program timing
Earthjustice says internships may be posted year-round, with most appearing in January for summer, April for fall and August for spring. Internships last no more than 12 weeks and are paid at least the highest national minimum wage. Current Summer 2027 law clerkships are closed, but those are a separate law-student route.

How to apply to Earthjustice
- Check Earthjustice's current student openings and choose only a posting whose education level explicitly includes undergraduates; a closed law clerkship is not an alternative route.
- Connect your application to the office and function named in that posting with an accurate research, writing, community, communications or administrative example.
- Submit through the posting's Jobvite route and follow its instructions exactly. Save the opening so you retain the education, hours, remote and document requirements.

How to prepare a stronger application
For research or advocacy support, show that you can distinguish evidence from argument, cite sources and handle sensitive topics carefully. For operating roles, use a concrete coordination, data or communications example.
Read the hiring program's current public work and identify how the internship function supports it. Do not imply legal expertise or client contact that your experience does not establish.
