Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in, or have graduated during 2027 from, an accredited bachelor's or master's program. The role accepts current college students as well as that limited recent-graduate group.
  • Interns must be available 30 to 40 hours a week from June 7 through August 20, 2027 and able to work from Santa Clara or one of Oklo's listed satellite offices.
  • Only US citizens may be considered. Each discipline has separate coursework and experience requirements, so eligibility for business operations does not establish eligibility for an engineering track or vice versa.
Easy to miss

Only US citizens are eligible, and each discipline has its own technical prerequisites. The general application title does not mean one application profile fits every track.

How to apply to Oklo

  1. Choose the exact discipline before applying: thermal hydraulics, materials, mechanical analysis, instrumentation and controls, neutronics, process, prototyping/manufacturing or business operations.
  2. Confirm citizenship, office availability and every coursework or hands-on requirement in that discipline. Tailor evidence to its work instead of treating the posting as one generic engineering role.
  3. Submit a tailored resume and the required cover letter through the official posting. The application warns that a preliminary interview may include a Python problem, so review only the depth relevant to your chosen track.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

For a technical track, explain an analysis or build from assumptions through validation and name the limits of your result. For business operations, show how you organized information and improved a real workflow.

The cover letter is required. Use it to name the discipline and connect one specific piece of work to that team's needs; a general statement about clean energy does not do that job.
