Who can apply?
- Undergraduate applicants must be in their junior year of college or third year of university; Blackstone separately lists first-year business-school students for Summer Associate positions.
- Blackstone's university programs are for students still enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Recent graduates are directed to entry-level positions instead.
- International students may apply. Blackstone says it may petition for an employment-based visa, while the relevant immigration authority makes the final decision.
Blackstone says it cannot accommodate late applications. Because deadlines are posting-specific and recruiting starts far ahead of the program, use the live opening rather than relying on the broad January-to-March pattern.
Dates, pay & program timing
The summer program typically lasts 10 weeks. Blackstone says campus positions can appear as early as January and continue through March. US interviews begin in February for programs starting the following year and can run through December; international offices recruit according to local needs, European summer applications are due in late November, and APAC hiring can begin in February. Those are recruiting patterns, not one universal deadline, so check the selected posting. Blackstone states that it does not offer unpaid internships.

How to apply to Blackstone
- Confirm that you will be a college junior or third-year university student for the summer program; do not assume the Summer Analyst rule also covers first-year business-school Summer Associates.
- Open Blackstone's current positions from the students page, compare the investment and corporate groups, and apply online to each group that genuinely matches your interests; Blackstone permits applications to multiple groups.
- Track the deadline on each selected posting. If chosen, expect an initial video interview with a Blackstone team member and then a series of face-to-face meetings if you advance.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
Blackstone recruits Summer Analysts into distinct investment and corporate businesses. Before applying, write a group-specific answer to why that work fits you: for an investing group, connect a company, transaction or industry question to analysis you have done; for a corporate group, connect a process, data or operating project to the function's responsibilities.
The published process begins with a video interview and may continue through several face-to-face meetings. Prepare one concise project explanation that works in the first round, plus a deeper version that covers your assumptions, individual contribution, result and what you would investigate next when later interviewers probe it.
For the interview itself, practice with Prepalyst's free Blackstone interview questions with worked answers. Prepalyst is a sister site from FirstInternships' founder.
