Who can apply?

  • The 2027 Software Engineer Intern and Mechanical Engineer Intern postings ask for a bachelor's or master's in a relevant field — computer science, software engineering, mathematics or physics for software; mechanical engineering, mathematics or physics for mechanical.
  • Interns must return to school after the internship for at least one quarter or semester.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Person because of required access to export-controlled information or facilities, and U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on the program.
Easy to miss

U.S. Person status is required because of export-controlled work. If you are unsure whether you qualify, ask the recruiter before investing in the application.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Anduril's mechanical posting stresses design, prototyping, analysis and testing with hands-on fabrication. A design-team part you machined, printed and tested — with what failed and how you fixed it — is exactly the kind of evidence it describes.

For software, the preferred languages include C++, Go, Rust, Java and Python. Show one project where software controlled or monitored hardware, such as a robot, drone or sensor rig, if you have one. This is our suggestion, not Anduril's process.
