Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree at the time of the internship. The FAQ says first-year students are considered when they meet the posting's qualifications.
  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred rather than stated as one universal hard minimum. The role description controls the degree, skills and academic standing it requires.
  • General Atomics says many internships require US citizenship and that a small number require a clearance. Read the exact requisition; those conditions are not identical across every affiliate or role.
Easy to miss

The employer says many—but not every—internship requires US citizenship, while very few require a clearance. Only the selected requisition can answer which rule applies to you.
