Who can apply?
- Graduated from high school and not yet entered the third year of college, with enrollment in a two- or four-year undergraduate institution. This directory route is only for students already in college.
- At least 16 by the published start date, eligible to work in the United States, and able to attend all nine weeks in Seattle.
- A science background is expected, but prior research experience is not required.
The publisher also mentions students between high school and college, but FirstInternships lists only the current-college route.
Dates, pay & program timing
The 2026 session ran June 15–August 14 and is closed. Fred Hutch says Summer 2027 information will be available in November. Compensation is published as a competitive full-time wage; confirm the new amount.
