Biomedical Research Internships for College Students

Healthcare experience is not one category. Biomedical research, clinical shadowing, patient-facing work, and administration have different responsibilities. Our current listings in this field are research pathways, not a promise of clinical contact.

Decide what you want to investigate

Choose a question in biology, behavior, health data, or another relevant discipline. Explain how a class or project introduced you to it and which methods you want to learn. You do not need to present yourself as a future physician to explain a genuine interest in research.

Check the appointment, not just the field

Read the selected research group's expectations, full dates, supervision, and participation conditions. Ask what a student would actually do. A summer in a laboratory is not automatically a clinical placement or a professional credential.

Protect sensitive information

Use only material you have permission to share in application examples. Never include patient information, restricted laboratory records, or private participant data in a public portfolio. Describe your methods and contribution without exposing the underlying confidential material.
