Who can apply?
- Boston Scientific's internship and co-op FAQ, linked from its US students page, describes summer internships as aimed at rising seniors and graduate students, says rising juniors may be considered in some instances, and requires at least one semester of school left after the internship.
- The graduation window the FAQ quotes (December 2025 to May 2026 graduates) belongs to an earlier cycle, so it is not the rule for the next one. Current postings set the live requirement.
- The FAQ describes co-ops as open from the rising-sophomore level up and, unlike internships, open to students who graduate during the co-op term. Neither the students page nor the FAQ states pay.
The FAQ linked from the students page still quotes graduation windows from an earlier cycle. Use it for the shape of the rules — mostly rising seniors, with a semester left afterward — and take the actual window from the current posting.
Dates, pay & program timing
The FAQ says internship roles are posted throughout the fall and spring and that summer internships run 12 weeks from mid-May to mid-August; co-ops run January to July or July to December, varying by program. It lists sites in Marlborough, Waltham and Quincy, Massachusetts; Alpharetta, Georgia; Coventry, Rhode Island; Arden Hills, Maple Grove and Minnetonka, Minnesota; and Valencia, California. No deadline is published.

How to apply to Boston Scientific
- Join the student talent community and set job alerts, which the FAQ recommends so you see roles as they post during the fall and spring.
- Search Boston Scientific's careers site with the keywords 'internship', 'intern' or 'co-op', as the FAQ instructs, and take the graduation window from the posting rather than from the FAQ.
- If you are a rising junior, look for Boston Scientific at your career fairs; the FAQ says rising juniors are considered only in some instances and points them to networking there.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
Decide between internship and co-op on academic grounds, not only timing. Co-ops run about six months and earn formal academic credit through your university, so check with your school that a January or July start fits your degree plan.
The FAQ lists housing at eligible sites and bus transport for Massachusetts and Minnesota roles among the perks. If you would need either, confirm eligibility for your specific site at the offer stage.
The students page says Boston Scientific looks for leaders in and out of the classroom and natural problem-solvers. For a device company, an example where you worked out why something did not work — a prototype, a test rig, a process — is stronger than a list of design courses.
