Who can apply?
- Netflix says it welcomes students enrolled at a university and pursuing a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree.
- The program runs in the United States, India, Poland and Japan. Most opportunities are in Engineering and Data and Insights, with others in Content, Finance & Strategy, Marketing and Program Management.
- The internship page does not state a minimum class year, GPA, pay or work-authorization rule; individual postings set those.
An empty intern search in September does not mean the season is over — Netflix posts on a rolling basis and recruits through March — but it also does not guarantee that an undergraduate role in your area will appear.
Dates, pay & program timing
Netflix says it usually starts posting intern roles on a rolling basis from about mid-August to early September, and that intern recruiting generally runs from late summer to the end of March the following year, with applications accepted as soon as a role goes live. At review on September 29, 2026, the intern roles on Netflix's job site were PhD and off-season research internships rather than undergraduate summer roles, so check back through the season.

How to apply to Netflix
- From mid-August, check Netflix's job site for intern roles and apply as soon as a relevant role goes live; Netflix says it accepts applications once a role is posted.
- Read the posting for its degree, location and authorization requirements, which the program page leaves to each role.
- Expect a take-home assessment followed by roughly two to three interview rounds, with advancement at each stage based on feedback from the last.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
Netflix tells candidates to read its culture memo and says interviewers may ask which parts of it resonate with you — or do not. Read it properly and prepare one honest point of agreement and one reservation, each tied to something you have actually done.
The take-home comes before the live interviews, so treat it as the first interview: write it the way you would want a teammate to read it, with a short note on your trade-offs. Netflix also says to prepare to discuss the projects on your resume, so remove anything you cannot explain in depth.
