Who can apply?
- CBRE's program page opens the Sales & Brokerage Internship Program to college juniors, seniors and graduate students who are interested in commercial real estate.
- The program is offered in selected US markets, including Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles/Orange County, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, DC. Candidates must apply to a current location-specific opening.
- CBRE emphasizes presentation, organization, analytical problem solving, leadership and relationship building. Salesforce and Tableau are preferred examples, not universal requirements stated for every candidate.
CBRE's Sales & Brokerage and Property Management internships are different programs. Apply to the exact function and city you want instead of treating the employer's student pages as one interchangeable opening.
Dates, pay & program timing
CBRE keeps a national program overview online and directs students to current internship openings. The overview does not publish one application period, term length, compensation figure, housing package or authorization rule for every market. Read the selected requisition before applying and treat its written terms as controlling.

How to apply to CBRE
- Choose a participating market and find its current internship requisition through CBRE Careers; the national overview is not itself a universal application.
- Tailor the resume to research, presentations, relationship building and a project where you used evidence to support a recommendation. Put your expected graduation month and year near the top.
- Apply through CBRE's official system, save the requisition and confirm the location, dates, compensation, work authorization and office schedule before accepting.

How to prepare a stronger application
Build a one-page market note for the city you selected. Use public sources to describe one property type, a demand driver, a recent change and a question you would investigate. Label every assumption and do not present public research as confidential deal knowledge.
Brokerage combines analysis with business development. Prepare one example of organizing information accurately and another of beginning a professional relationship, handling a rejection or following up without becoming pushy.
