Who can apply?

  • Visa's global program accepts students currently enrolled at an academic institution across BA, BS, MBA, PhD and JD routes. This directory focuses on current undergraduate applicants.
  • The program page does not publish one universal undergraduate class year, GPA, work-authorization rule or compensation figure. The selected opening controls those requirements.
  • Summer interns must be available full time for approximately three months; semester internships in several regions are also generally full-time roles.
Easy to miss

Visa's August-to-March North American window is a range, not a promise that every internship remains open until March.

Dates, pay & program timing

No universal cutoff confirmed

Visa publishes broad regional recruiting windows rather than one global cutoff: August through March in North America and Europe, September through March in Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, August through December in Latin America and the Caribbean, and March through October in Asia Pacific. A role can close inside those ranges, so the active posting controls.

How to apply to Visa

  1. Start on Visa's global internship page, then use the official opening search to choose a region, function and role that match your degree and location.
  2. Read the individual posting for graduation timing, authorization, pay, work arrangement and required skills; the global page does not make those details universal.
  3. Apply through the official Visa careers system and save the exact role title, location and submission confirmation rather than tracking only the general program page.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Connect your application to the actual work: a payments, security, data, software, consulting or customer problem. Explain the evidence you used and what changed because of your contribution.

For analytics and technology roles, prepare one project you can explain from question through validation. For consulting and business roles, prepare one recommendation that required comparing alternatives and communicating a trade-off.

Visa: questions before applying

When do Visa internships open?

Visa says North American and European internship applications run broadly from August through March. Other regions use different windows, and an individual role may close earlier.

How long is a Visa summer internship?

The global program page describes summer internships as full-time work for approximately three months.

What majors does Visa hire?

Visa names work in data science, AI, consulting and analytics, among other areas. The individual opening—not the company overview—sets the accepted degree fields.
