Who can apply?

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited university in a bachelor's, master's or PhD program in a listed engineering or science field. The postings name electrical, materials, chemical, mechanical, industrial and civil engineering, chemistry, physics, construction and related disciplines.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to work full time for ten weeks on site in Phoenix. The posting does not set one accepted college year or graduation window for every role.
  • Some positions require time on the factory floor, cleanroom gowning or lifting within applicable safety guidance. Access to export-controlled technical data can require an export license for a non-US person, so legal work eligibility alone does not resolve every role's access conditions.
Easy to miss

These are on-site Phoenix roles with several possible assignments. Applying to the group does not guarantee a particular department, and cleanroom or export-control conditions can differ by match.

How to apply to TSMC Arizona

  1. Read both official Arizona postings and identify the role family closest to your degree and evidence, such as process integration, yield, equipment, intelligent manufacturing, software, facilities or construction.
  2. Confirm that you can work one complete ten-week on-site schedule and meet the physical, cleanroom, legal-work and export-control conditions that apply to the selected role.
  3. Tailor your resume to the relevant process or system and apply through TSMC's official portal. Save the posting and confirmation because TSMC lists no shared closing date for the group.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements

How to prepare a stronger application

Build one structured troubleshooting story. Define the defect, performance gap or bottleneck; name the data you collected; show how you separated correlation from a likely cause; and explain the validation step. A laboratory, capstone or campus manufacturing project can work when the method is clear.

For the software and intelligent-manufacturing tracks, connect code to a physical operation: what signal or event the system observed, how the workflow handled bad data, and what metric indicated an improvement. For facilities roles, be ready to discuss safety, commissioning, documentation and dependencies between systems rather than only component design.
