Who can apply?
- Jefferies offers undergraduate and graduate opportunities across Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Equities, Research, Wealth Management and Corporate divisions. The current opening—not the employer-wide page—sets degree level and graduation dates.
- The student page says candidates should have a strong academic background, an interest in finance and the ability to work independently and in teams while managing several projects.
- Jefferies recruits from finance, accounting, economics, computer science, engineering, applied mathematics and liberal arts. The central page does not publish one U.S. class year, GPA, work-authorization rule, salary or work arrangement for every Summer Analyst role.
Summer Analyst and Summer Associate roles sit on the same campus board but target different degree levels. Do not use an MBA Associate posting's graduation dates, pay or requirements for an undergraduate application.
Dates, pay & program timing
Jefferies describes its Analyst and Associate summer internships as ten-week programs with orientation, training, seminars, social events, mentoring and formal performance reviews. The employer-wide page does not publish one application window or deadline. At this review, the official campus board did not show a U.S. undergraduate investment-banking Summer Analyst posting, so use the current board rather than treating this evergreen guide as an open role.

How to apply to Jefferies
- Open Jefferies' official campus opportunities board and filter for Investment Banking and Summer Analyst. Confirm that the title says Analyst rather than Associate and that the posting's degree and graduation window match you.
- Read the selected posting for location, authorization, compensation and application limits. These conditions vary by role and should not be carried over from a different Jefferies office or program.
- Submit through the official Jefferies candidate portal while the matching role remains listed. Save the opportunity ID and a copy of the requirements because the central student page publishes no universal deadline.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
Jefferies says interns develop market-data and technical skills and may complete case-study and formal-presentation training. Practise a short company or industry analysis that separates facts, assumptions and recommendation, then deliver it aloud with one slide or a one-page memo.
The firm emphasizes professionalism, analytical skill, attention to detail and handling several projects in a team-oriented environment. Prepare an example where you found a numerical or document error before delivery, communicated it without blaming a teammate and still met the deadline.
Jefferies recruits from many majors, so translate your strongest evidence into finance work rather than apologizing for the degree title. An engineering project can show modeling and tradeoffs; a liberal-arts research paper can show evidence handling and concise writing.
