- For U.S. and European Summer Analyst programs, PJT says eligible candidates are penultimate-year students with one academic year remaining after the internship. Because degree lengths vary, this is not converted to one U.S. class-year number.
- PJT selects candidates with strong and interesting academic backgrounds who show curiosity and have expanded their industry knowledge through classes, extracurricular activities or prior experience.
- The U.S. summer program is generalist rather than a placement process within one business. PJT considers visa sponsorship case by case and does not publish one universal pay, location or work arrangement on the student page.
PJT requires the Suited assessment linked in the job description. Uploading the PDF application without completing that separate required step leaves the published process unfinished.
Dates, pay & program timing
PJT says U.S. Summer Analyst applications generally open in the spring of the year before the program and close before summer. The Summer 2027 U.S. advisory window had therefore passed by this October 2026 review; use the official student portal for current roles and exact dates. PJT says internship performance can lead to full-time consideration, but it does not guarantee an offer.

How to apply to PJT Partners
- Monitor PJT's official student portal before the spring recruiting window and select the U.S. Summer Analyst posting. Confirm its business scope, office, graduation dates, compensation and authorization terms.
- Submit the requested documents in PDF format through the PJT careers page, then open the Suited link in the job description using the same email address as the application.
- Complete every required Suited section and verify that the profile is complete. Keep the job confirmation and assessment status together; the uploaded application alone does not complete PJT's published process.

How to prepare a stronger application
PJT says its structured interviews test broad industry understanding, corporate-finance fundamentals and behavioral competencies. Review one recent strategic-advisory or restructuring situation and practise explaining valuation, capital structure and stakeholder tradeoffs without guessing facts you cannot verify.
Because the program is generalist, prepare a coherent reason for wanting an advisory-focused firm rather than claiming certainty about one team. Connect two PJT businesses—such as Strategic Advisory and Restructuring & Special Situations—to coursework, a project or a market event you can discuss in detail.
Treat Suited as one part of the process rather than a personality performance. Complete it in a quiet session, follow the instructions consistently and spend the rest of your preparation on the academic, industry and behavioral evidence PJT says it reviews alongside the assessment.
