Who can apply?
- The official page limits Future Foodies to college freshmen and sophomores and names two interest areas: food and meat science or product development, and process engineering.
- Participants travel to Conagra's Omaha campus for three days in mid-July. Conagra says it covers all travel-related expenses but does not describe the event as paid employment or publish wages.
- The program ends with interviews for an internship the following summer, followed by offer decisions within a month. Participation creates an interview opportunity, not a guaranteed internship offer.
Future Foodies is a three-day early-insight program, not the following summer's internship itself. The closing interview can lead to an offer, but Conagra does not promise one.

How to apply to Conagra Brands
- Confirm that you will be a freshman or sophomore in the application cycle and that your interests fit food or meat science, product development or process engineering.
- Before the February-to-March opening period, prepare a one-page resume with relevant coursework, a food or engineering project and one example of curiosity or leadership from campus, work or volunteering.
- Apply only through the official Conagra page when the next application opens, then prepare separately for the internship interview that occurs during the Omaha program.

Our editorial advice · not employer requirements
How to prepare a stronger application
For food or meat science, choose one lab, recipe-development or quality question and explain the variable you changed, how you evaluated the outcome and what you would test next. Ordinary coursework is useful when you describe it precisely rather than relabeling it as professional experience.
For process engineering, map a simple process and identify one source of delay, waste, inconsistency or safety risk. The goal is not to invent an industrial result; it is to show that you notice how inputs, constraints and measurements connect.
