What the company does
Most internships at small and mid-size companies are never posted publicly. They go to whoever reached out first. FirstInternships gives any student that direct line: a database of verified recruiting contacts, an AI that writes a tailored email for each one, and a system that sends it safely from the student's own Gmail at a pace that protects their sending reputation.
The platform also publishes free tools that grade a resume or a cold email, a library of guides on how to reach out, and a referral program that rewards students for bringing friends.
What the company owns
Every address in the database is checked at the mail-server level, so students spend their effort on companies that can actually receive their message. Dead addresses are removed, and a bounce-reporting loop keeps the list clean as it ages.
Assets behind the valuation
- The contact database. Thousands of recruiting inboxes, individually verified rather than scraped and dumped, plus a growing set of named contacts who published their own work email.
- The product. A finished, working platform: AI email drafting, paced sending through the user's own Gmail, pipeline tracking, billing, and a bulk review-and-send flow.
- Published content. Guides and landing pages covering the questions students actually search for.
- Brand and domain. An exact-match domain in a category with durable, recurring demand: there is a new class of students every single year.
Valuation
FirstInternships is an early-stage company. The lower figure is a conservative, defensible estimate of current value based on the finished product, the verified database, published content, and brand. The higher range reflects where comparable early-stage companies in this space are valued once they build a user base and recurring revenue. These are internal estimates based on stated assumptions, not a formal appraisal or an offer.
